Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan is set to marry his longtime girlfriend, Sophie Shine, in February 2026. According to multiple media reports, the wedding celebrations will take place in the third week of February in the Delhi-NCR region and are expected to be a grand affair with the presence of prominent personalities from both the cricketing and Bollywood industries.
The wedding records a significant milestone for the former Indian cricketer following his divorce from Ayesha Mukherjee in October 2023. As per a report by HT City, Dhawan and Sophie will tie the knot in a lavish ceremony in Delhi-NCR, with preparations already underway. A source close to the couple revealed that the duo is approaching the occasion with quiet happiness and a lot of gratitude. Notably, Dhawan is personally involved in planning the celebrations.
The couple reportedly met in Dubai a few years ago. Their friendship gradually evolved into a romantic relationship. After being together for over a year and living together, the couple decided to formalise their bond. Their relationship first came into public view when they were spotted together during matches at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Sophie is a corporate professional with a background in marketing and management, having earned her degree from the Limerick Institute of Technology. She has worked as a senior product consultant in the financial services sector and is also associated with the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation.
Dhawan had earlier opened up about his desire for companionship in public interactions, though he chose not to name Shine at the time. Their growing public appearances and social media moments made their relationship evident.
Previously, the cricketer was married to Australia-based Ayesha Mukherjee, with whom he shares an 11-year-old son, Zoravar. The couple divorced in October 2023 after 11 years of marriage, with the Delhi court citing mental cruelty as the primary ground. While Zoravar currently lives in Australia, the court ensured Dhawan’s visitation rights, allowing him to maintain a bond with his son.
