Australian sports presenter Grace Hayden, daughter of cricket legend Matthew Hayden, celebrated her 23rd birthday with what she described as the “best birthday surprise ever,” courtesy of her boyfriend, Wilson Statham. The surprise, orchestrated by Statham, has captured the attention of fans, marking a memorable milestone in Hayden’s already eventful year.
Grace, who turned 23 on Monday, 16th June 2025, has rapidly become a prominent figure in sports media, following in the footsteps of her famous father but forging her own path. Known for her dynamic presence on Star Sports India and her recent appointment as the lead presenter for Racing X, a Hong Kong-based international sports platform, Hayden’s career has seen her travel the world covering major sporting events, including the IPL, the T20 World Cup and the ODI World Cup.
Wilson, the son of Queensland cotton moguls Danielle and David Statham, meticulously planned the birthday celebration to reflect Hayden’s love for the red and the pink roses.
Grace was also greeted by close friends and family, including her father Matthew Hayden, who is known to be “super proud” of his daughter’s achievements.
Grace, currently in India for the second season of Bengal Pro T20 League, responded to Wilson with her own post, calling the day “the best birthday surprise ever” and expressing gratitude for the support.

The couple, who went public with their relationship earlier this year at the Randwick races, have quickly become one of the most talked-about young pairs in Australian social circles.
As Hayden’s career continues to soar, with upcoming assignments set to take her to Saudi Arabia, New Zealand and Las Vegas, she credits her upbringing and her father’s guidance for her success.
“We’ve loved working together over in the cricket space and I am going to continue to do that. He is proud and knows I will do the family well. His advice has been to have fun and be myself, to shine in my own way,” Grace recently shared.
