GT vs SRH: IPL 2026 Records and Stats at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

Gujarat Titans will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match No. 56 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday, May 12.
The Titans have played 11 matches so far and secured seven wins. Led by Shubman Gill, GT are currently placed third on the points table and head into the contest on the back of a four-match winning streak. Their most recent outing saw them register a dominant 77-run victory over Rajasthan Royals in an away fixture on Saturday, May 9.
Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad are placed second in the standings, only behind Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Led by Pat Cummins, SRH had a difficult start to the campaign, losing three of their first four matches. However, they have made a remarkable comeback by winning six of their last seven games and will look to continue their impressive momentum.
Narendra Modi Stadium is considered one of the most intimidating venues in India because of its massive size and electrifying crowd atmosphere. In IPL 2026, the venue has generally favoured teams batting second, although the surface has offered a fair balance between bat and ball. The pitch provides assistance to pacers through lateral movement off the surface and also suits hit-the-deck bowlers. When dew comes into play during the second innings, chasing becomes significantly easier, giving an added advantage to the team batting second.
This will be the first meeting between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026. Both teams have enjoyed strong campaigns so far and head into the contest with impressive winning momentum.
The Titans have found a good balance in their bowling attack, while the inclusion of Jason Holder has added extra depth to both the middle order and the pace department. However, GT still rely heavily on their top-order batters to deliver the bulk of the runs.
Meanwhile, SRH’s batting unit has experienced a mixed season, with inconsistency at times affecting their performances. Despite that, their bowling attack has collectively stepped up throughout the tournament, consistently providing crucial breakthroughs and helping the side maintain its winning run.
