England’s star cricketer Liam Livingstone has delivered his first message to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fans after being snapped up by the franchise for INR 13 crore at the IPL 2026 auction. The 32-year-old sounded thrilled in a short video, addressing supporters directly and promising to bring excitement in the upcoming season.

In his message, Livingstone greeted supporters with, “Hey Orange Army! It”s Liam Livingstone here,” before sharing just how happy he is to link up with SRH for IPL 2026. He said he is “excited” to be joining the franchise this year and made it clear that pulling on the orange jersey is something he is really looking forward to. The hard-hitting batter-all-rounder has built a reputation as one of the most destructive T20 players in world cricket, making his arrival a major boost for Hyderabad’s middle order.

Livingstone also revealed that he has been keeping a close eye on the auction and on how SRH have been building their squad in recent years. He explained that, watching the auction “from afar”, he found the way Sunrisers “go about their business over the last couple of years” very entertaining. That line underlines his respect for the franchise’s recruitment strategy and hints that he believes his own skill set fits perfectly into their aggressive, modern T20 template.

The new SRH star rounded off his message by focusing on the fanbase. Livingstone said he is “really looking forward to being a part of it” and is excited to “meet all the new fans in the new year.” Signing off with, “I’ll see you all soon,” he struck a warm, personal tone aimed at building an early connection with the Orange Army. With his power-hitting, handy spin and charisma, SRH supporters will now be eagerly waiting to see him in action once IPL 2026 gets underway.
