The Chennai Super Kings take on the Delhi Capitals in Match 18 of the 2026 Indian Premier League at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 11.
The Chennai Super Kings are in dire need of a win after losing their first three games. While there have been performances with the bat and ball, their overall performance has not inspired confidence and they have been comfortably beaten by the Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. CSK have a squad filled with stars, but have not found the right balance within their team
The Delhi Capitals, one of the more balanced sides in the competition, were handed their first dent in the form of a narrow one-run loss to the Gujarat Titans after wins in their first two matches. The Capitals will be hoping to bounce back when they visit the Chepauk.
The two sides are coming in on the back of losses, but the Chennai Super Kings come into this match with more doubts and questions to be addressed. The Capitals would be glad that their star batter, KL Rahul, is back in the runs, getting a sublime 92 after two failures. For the Super Kings, the return of South Africa’s Dewald Brevis after recovering from a side strain would bolster their batting lineup.
