IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans' strongest predicted XI against Delhi Capitals

Gujarat Titans (GT) travel to the capital city in the quest for their maiden win of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season when they take on the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday, April 8.
GT suffered a narrow six-run defeat at the hands of the Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Chasing 211, the 2022 champions looked in control, with Sai Sudharsan scoring freely whilst opening the batting. The elegant left-handed batter scored 73 off 44 deliveries.
Gujarat lost their way a little after Sudharsan was dismissed, but were still in the game till the last over. Needing 11 runs off the final six balls, the hosts were kept in check by Tushar Deshpande, who conceded just four runs off the final over to hand GT their second loss in the new season.
Despite losing two matches on the trot, GT have a stable playing XI with players just needing to get back in form. Captain Shubman Gill missed the game against RR due to a neck spasm, but he is set to return to the playing XI, bolstering the Ahmedabad-based side's batting lineup, which can take advantage of Arun Jaitley Stadium’s favourable batting conditions.
Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill are one of the most consistent opening pairs in recent IPL history. Along with Jos Buttler coming in at number three, GT have a reliable top order that can bat for the majority of the overs. Buttler’s form, however, remains a concern. In the last two games, the England wicketkeeper has scored 64 at a lowly strike-rate of 136.
