Joe Root warns England players to celebrate carefully after Lord's Test win over Pakistan

England secured a 2-0 series lead in their three-match Test series against Pakistan following victory at Lord's, with one Test remaining at Edgbaston. The win at Lord's came in the second Test of the three-match series, which lasted four days, while England had completed their opening Test at Headingley in three days. This also marks England's first Test series victory since the end of 2024.

Joe Root, England's new captain of the red-ball side following Ben Stokes' retirement, addressed the team's approach to celebrating the series-clinching win. “It’s important we’re not talking about, absolutely.
