Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul were recently spotted utilising different facilities at the BCCI Centre of Excellence. Both of the ace Indian cricketers spent a good chunk of time honing their skills as well as working on their fitness at the CoE in Bengaluru.
The initial part of the clip posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) featured both Rohit and Rahul training with experienced fitness experts on a few cricket-specific strength and agility drills. The rest of the video showed the duo batting in the nets. While Rahul focused on batting against the red ball, Rohit emphasised on improving his white-ball batting skills.
Rohit, now 38, has already retired from T20Is (after the T20 World Cup 2024) and Tests (before the 2025 red-ball tour of England). Rahul, on the other hand, is an active part of India's plans in ODIs and Tests. He last featured for a T20I in November 22, after which he was ruled out of contention in what was a blend of inconsistent form and increased competition.
Both Rohit and Rahul will be expected to represent India during the Men in Blue's upcoming tour of Australia, which will comprise of three ODIs and five T20Is. Rohit last represented the nation in the title-winning Champions Trophy. Meanwhile, Rahul was an integral component of the Shubman Gill-led squad which drew the 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2-2 in England.
Meanwhile, India are currently in UAE for the ongoing Asia Cup. They have won all their group-stage matches and are set to take on arch-rivals Pakistan in the Super Four stage of the continental tournament in Dubai on Sunday, September 21.
