Earlier in the match, the Trinbago Knight Riders, batting first after losing the toss, were bundled out for just 109 runs in 18.1 overs. Nicholas Pooran tried to anchor the innings with a fighting 30, but wickets kept tumbling. Tabraiz Shamsi was the standout bowler for Saint Lucia Kings, claiming 3/12 in his spell.

Chasing a modest target, the Saint Lucia Kings made light work of the run chase, finishing at 112/3 in just 11.1 overs.
