IPL 2026: LSG vs GT Match 19 - Who will be Impact Players for today's match?
Published - 11 Apr 2026, 16:49 IST | Updated - 11 Apr 2026, 17:00 IST
The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) face the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Match 19 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season on Sunday,
The two sides come on the back of contrasting forms. LSG have secured back-to-back wins against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Kolkata Knight Riders to get over their opening game defeat to the Delhi Capitals on home soil.
GT, meanwhile, secured a win over DC in their previous game to register their first of the 2026 season after losing their opening two matches against the Punjab Kings and the Rajasthan Royals.
The introduction of the Impact Sub rule in the IPL has made the game a total more tactical in nature. It is vitally important for teams to use their one substitute optimally to get the upper hand over their opponents in the game.
Ayush Badoni: LSG’s designated Impact Sub whilst chasing a total, Badoni is capable of batting anywhere in the middle order. He scored 54 off 34 balls in their previous game against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Shahbaz Ahmed: A spin-bowling all-rounder, Shahbaz Ahmed has played just once in the 2026 season so far. The 31-year-old is an experienced IPL campaigner, with 59 games under his belt.
Mayank Yadav: An excellent new-ball bowler, Mayank Yadav is renowned for his raw pace. The 23-year-old can be used as an Impact Sub should the pitch and the conditions offer something for the fast bowlers.
Arjun Tendulkar: Yet another all-round option, Arjun Tendulkar offers a left-arm seam option to LSG. Since moving from the Mumbai Indians, he has yet to make his LSG debut.
Matthew Breetzke: LSG played with three overseas players in their playing XI last time around. This means that, should they lose early wickets while batting, they can use Matthew Breetzke as their Impact Sub, giving themselves an additional batting option.
Prasidh Krishna: GT’s designated Impact Sub while bowling second, Prasidh Krishna was last season’s Purple Cap holder. This season, he has so far picked six wickets from three matches.
Jayant Yadav: A spin-bowling option, the experience of Jayant Yadav can be used as an Impact Sub if the Lucknow pitch offers something for the spinner. His T20 economy is just 6.40.
Kumar Kushagra: An important member of the SMAT-winning Jharkhand team, Kumar Kushagra is an ideal Impact Sub candidate if GT lose early wickets in the opening spell of the game.
Anuj Rawat: Anuj Rawat is waiting to make his GT debut. The 26-year-old is a wicketkeeping option with 77 T20 matches under his belt.
Manav Suthar: A vital member for Rajasthan in the domestic circuit, Manav Suthar is yet another spin-bowling option, who took 13 wickets in the recently-concluded SMAT.
