Australian cricket star Glenn Maxwell and his wife Vini Raman have shared a special update from their family life, giving their followers another reason to celebrate. The couple announced the news on Tuesday through social media, with the post quickly attracting attention from the cricketing community. Fellow players, franchises and fans joined in to send their warm wishes to the couple following the announcement.
The latest development adds another memorable chapter to the couple’s journey together, which began more than a decade ago. Maxwell and Raman have continued to share important moments from their lives with fans while the Australian all-rounder has remained one of the most recognisable names in international cricket.
The couple shared the news through a joint social media post, introducing their latest family member to the world with a short and heartfelt caption. The arrival of Maia marks another special moment for Maxwell and Raman, who already have a young family. Their first child, son Logan Maverick Maxwell, was born on September 11, 2023.

Maxwell and Raman first met in December 2013 and initially became friends before their relationship began in 2017. They announced their engagement in February 2020 before getting married on March 27, 2022, in Melbourne. The couple celebrated their wedding through two ceremonies, including a traditional Christian ceremony and a Tamil Brahmin ceremony. Maxwell wore a traditional golden sherwani for the latter.

While Maxwell has built a reputation for his explosive batting and useful off-spin, his career has also been defined by several unforgettable performances for Australia. The all-rounder has played 149 ODIs, scoring 3,990 runs and taking 77 wickets. He also recorded four centuries and 23 half-centuries before announcing his retirement from ODI cricket in June 2025.
His most memorable World Cup performance came against Afghanistan during the 2023 ODI World Cup in Mumbai. Maxwell produced an unbeaten 201 off 128 deliveries despite battling severe cramps, striking 21 fours and 10 sixes to help Australia complete an extraordinary run chase.
In T20Is, Maxwell has scored 2,897 runs in 130 matches, including five centuries and 12 half-centuries. He has also represented Australia in seven Tests, scoring 339 runs and taking eight wickets. The 37-year-old continues to play T20 cricket and is set to feature in the European T20 Premier League as the co-owner and captain of Belfast Wolves.
